TOsketchfest is pleased to unveil our side-splitting lineup for 2016!  The 11th edition of The Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival is the biggest yet, with performances by over 70 of the best comedy acts from across North America.  Strap yourself in for 11 days of non-stop hilarity on 5 stages.


This year’s Steam Whistle Headliner Series boasts an all-Canadian lineup. HELLO! THUNDER BAY!, a one-night-only convergence of comedy and rock ‘n roll. Hosted by Dave Bidini (Rheostatics), musicians including Alex Lifeson (Rush), Terra Lightfoot, David Quinton Steinberg (The Mods), and Odario Williams (Grand Analog) and more share their funniest stories from the road, while Canada’s top musically-inclined comedians such as Gavin Crawford, Jessica Holmes, and Seán Cullen, perform hilarious musical comedy and rock ‘n roll parody.

2ND SHOW ADDED - This is That Live - March 5th

Previously announced is the return of This Is That Live on Thursday, March 5 at 7pm at Randolph Theatre, and a second show at 9:30pm has just been added! With a mix of character interviews and mockumentary stories, satirical masters Peter Oldring and Pat Kelly offer a look into CBC Radio’s fabricated news show, complete with some of the best listener phone calls that were too wild for radio.

TOsketchfest’s Festival Series is a seemingly endless supply of double-bills, each featuring a juried pairing from over 70 of North America’s very best comedy scripted comedy acts. With so much to choose from in the Festival Series, one can easily fill their TOsketchfest dance card.

TOsketchfest presents the SiriusXM Sketch-Off

2016 sees the return of SiriusXM Sketch Off, a sketch comedy competition awarding the winner the chance to record a comedy album. Rapp Battlez, a perennial fav returns for another TOsketchfest edition of Toronto’s hit rap comedy format where 8-mile meets WWE.  Sketch Smarts: The Sketch Comedy Quiz Show makes its return to the festival testing festival participants’ level of geekdom about their own craft after an unbelievably fun debut in 2015.
