Whether you’re looking to escape the holiday chaos or lean into it with some laughs, Toronto’s comedy scene has you covered. From cozy cabaret stages to full-blown sketch spectaculars, these are the shows we’re wrapping up the year with (and no, not in gift wrap).

Tight 5: Grand Finale

December 5th, 7:30pm

After two years of clown-fuelled chaos, alternative antics, and five-minute masterpieces, Tight Five is taking its final bow. This variety show has been a launchpad for Toronto’s weirdest and funniest, with clowns, sketch aficionados, and comedy wildcards pulling out all the stops. It’s your last chance to see the ridiculousness live. Don’t miss it!

Potato Potato’s Second Annual Grade 4 Holiday Pageant

December 11th, 9:00pm | December 13th, 5:00pm

If you like your comedy in the afternoon, this is the show for you! Join the Firecracker department for a delightful show featuring stand-up, sketch, improv and musical comedy by women and non-binary performers. Have Yourself a Menty Little Breakdown

‘Tis the season… for a complete comedic unraveling. This holiday sketch show dives headfirst into office drama, deranged family traditions, rogue mascots, and the annual toy-store meltdown. Directed by Rob Baker with music direction by Jamie Lamb, this cast of holiday hooligans is ready to make spirits bright, and slightly unhinged. Bring your cocoa. Leave your composure.

Mitch Wood: My Impression of a Christmas Show

December 13th, 8:00pm & 10:00pm

Christmas came early and it brought impressions, characters, and total holiday mayhem. Mitch Wood is back at The Rivoli with a Christmas-a-fied version of his hit solo show, packed with familiar faves from online and festive bits you’ve never seen before. Limited tickets, unlimited cheer.

Tom Hearn presents…Holiday SZN

December 19th, 7:00pm & 9:00pm

Tom Hearn is taking over The Rivoli for a double-dose of holiday cheer! First up is “Holiday Ham”, a festive variety show with sketch, songs, games, and special appearances from Mary Berg and Andrew Phung. Then stick around for “Miracle on 6-7 Street”, a fully improvised holiday spectacular starring some of Toronto’s top comedic talent. See both with a Holiday SZN Pass, but act fast, they’re very limited!
