Gender? I Hardly Know Them is a fast-paced joyfully provocative queer sketch duo from the heart of the gun-toting, beef-loving Alberta prairies. Drawing from their experiences of growing up gay, hot and short in Edmonton, non-binary and LGBTQ+ comedians Sydney Campbell and Elena (or Eli) Belyea are out to queer the world one denim punchline at a time.

Creative Bio:

Elena (or Eli) Belyea (Co-creator, writer, actor) is an award winning queer playwright, performer, producer, and arts educator from the Amiskwâskahikan (colonially know as Edmonton) whose plays have been produced across Canada. They’ve written for web series’ such as One Hit Die and performed in 500-seat regional theatre, community roller rinks, and 1-car garages from Wells, BC to Halifax, NS. She is a graduate of the University of Alberta and the National Theatre School of Canada (Playwriting) and an Olympic crier (classic Pisces). / / @belyeache

Sydney Campbell ( Co-creator, writer, actor) is a queer, non-binary theatre artist and recent graduate of the University of Alberta with a degree in Drama + Gender Studies. They are a senior ensemble member of Rapid Fire Theatre, performing weekly as part of multiple troupes. Syd has written and performed on comedy web series Folk Lordz and attended workshops on TV writing with Ins Choi. Syd is widely recognized aa Edmonton’s proudest Leo, because of course they are. / @sydngayday
