Comedy Shows to see at the Toronto Fringe

July is absolutely PACKED with great comedy for everyone. Whether it’s catching up with TOsketchfest alumni or watching something new, there’s something to make you laugh at loud. July 5th to July 16th also happens to be the Toronto Fringe festival and with a pretty meaty comedy section, it’s a great opportunity to check out Toronto comedy in all its forms. Here are some recs for the funny at Fringe!

2 West 4 East: A Comedy

Dynamic duo Kenneth Cheung and Chase Jeffels team up to showcase a cornucopia of funny in their full length comedy show. It’s got physical comedy and absurd characters and more! They won honourable mention at this year’s TOsketchfest so you know you’re in for some great sketch comedy.

Blake & Clay’s Gay Agenda

A sequel to last year’s acting seminar “Gay for Pay with Blake & Clay,” Blake & Clay return to gaysplain the Gay Agenda. Yep, all of it. If you love satirical seminars that artfully mixes hilarity with darkness, you’ll love this!

Do You Think You’re Better Than Me?

Creative partners and irl friends Zoe Marin and Rebecca Ablack (aka Small Friend Tall Friend) created a sketch comedy revue about friendships, being in your 20s, pop culture, identity politics and the “industry.”  It’s promise to have it all: Projections! Music! Video! Monologues! Sketches!
