“Shitt’s Rivalry” A Players Original

Five Toronto Comedy Shows to See in June 2026

Looking for the best comedy shows in Toronto in June? Consider this your comedy-packed summer bucket list. As the days get longer and the patios get busier, Toronto’s comedy scene is hitting its stride. From Pride celebrations and comedy festivals to sketch showcases, musical chaos, and some truly baffling clownery, June is bursting with reasons to leave the house and laugh. These are the shows we’re most excited about this month and you will be too!

“Shitt’s Rivalry” A Players Original

June 4-6, 11-13

What happens when the Rose family collides with hockey culture and cottage country? We honestly have no idea, but we can’t wait to find out. Shitt’s Rivalry is the latest original musical comedy from PlayersTO, blending real estate feuds, hot tubs, canoes, romance, and hockey into one gloriously Canadian summer showdown. Featuring Anjali Mulligan, Brennah Toews, Emily Ferrier, Jason Marshall, Kirk McCullough, Lance Oribello, Mike Jankovich, and Stefania D’Amario, this is exactly the kind of ridiculous cottage-country chaos we’re here for.

What The Festival presents: Spring Thing

Saturday, June 6

If your comedy tastes run a little weirder (or a lot weirder), Spring Thing should be on your radar. The evening kicks off with the inaugural Sweet Idiot Showdown, a competition to determine Toronto’s most beloved clown, which is somehow both a prestigious title and a concerning one. Then, stick around for the Toronto premiere of A Young Man Dressed as a Gorilla Dressed as an Old Man Sits Rocking in a Rocking Chair for Fifty-six Minutes and then Leaves. Is it performance art? Is it comedy? Is it both? We have questions, and we’re buying tickets to find out.

Party & Play! A Queer Comedy Show

Sunday, June 21

Pride Month deserves more than just another dance party, and Party & Play! delivers exactly that. Hosted by the incredible Hillary Yass and Selena Vyle, this comedy variety show brings together some of Toronto’s best queer performers for a night of stand-up, sketch, improv, and drag. Featuring Kirsten Rasmussen, Brandon Hackett, Anders Yates, Tyra Banda, Ben Sosa-Wright, Zoe Marin, Blair MacMillan, Robert Defina, Stevey Hunter, A.C. Birch, Tony Varkaris, Phil Johnston, Katie Chin, Kirk McCullough, and Adam Urquhart, this lineup is absolutely stacked.
