Looking for the best comedy shows in Toronto this November? We’ve got five excellent reasons to leave the house before hibernation season officially begins. This month’s picks take us from multilingual dark comedy and immersive 4D sketch to a comedy café, a little early holiday cheer, and a trivia night where bribery is not only allowed, but encouraged. November may be getting darker, but Toronto’s comedy calendar is keeping things delightfully weird, warm, and very funny!

Firecracker Department Comedy Café
Tuesday, November 3rd, 7:00pm
New home, new night, same excellent reason to get out and see some funny people. The Firecracker Department Comedy Café is settling into The Social Capital with its monthly showcase of women and non-binary comedians, bringing together a rotating lineup of stand-up, improv, sketch, and more. There’s even some pre-show networking if you want to meet fellow comedy folks before settling in for the laughs. We love a show that makes Toronto’s comedy community feel a little smaller, friendlier, and funnier!

Far-Flung Peoples
November 1st – 8th
Five people, one couch, two languages, and a Toronto landlord calling it an “open-concept bedroom.” Yeah, this one caught our attention. Presented by Minor Punctuations Theatre, Far-Flung Peoples is an award-winning, fast-paced multilingual dark comedy set inside a crooked downtown Toronto house, where French and English collide alongside some deeply questionable living conditions. With housing in Toronto being, well, housing in Toronto, we’re very curious to see where this one takes us.

Summer Dad in 4D
Monday November 9th, 7:30pm + 9:30pm
What does the fourth dimension of sketch comedy look like? Apparently it involves water, wind, flashing lights, audience participation, and Summer Dad being given permission to get even more unhinged. TOsketchfest 2026 Best of Fest AND Sketchiest Sketch Troupe winners are turning the Rivoli into an immersive sketch experience where sitting quietly in the dark is very much not the assignment. The 7:30pm show is already sold out, so if you’re the kind of person who chooses the splash zone on purpose, grab one of the remaining tickets for 9:30pm. Bonus: profits from the show are going right back into the 2027 Sketchiest Sketch Troupe Award, helping another troupe get their own opportunity to make something wonderfully ridiculous.

O Christmas Tea: A British Comedy
Saturday, November 21st, 3pm + 7pm (plus many touring dates!)
We know, we know. It’s November. But if you’re already mentally unpacking the holiday decorations, O Christmas Tea might be your cue to officially give in. This award-winning British comedy promises wordplay, physical comedy, audience interaction, and the delightfully over-the-top spirit of a classic British panto. Consider this one for anyone who likes their holiday entertainment served with a little absurdity alongside the Christmas cheer.

Comedy Trivia: A TOsketchfest Fundraiser
Sunday, November 22nd, 7:30pm
Okay, we’re very biased about this one, because it’s ours. Gather your smartest (or most confidently incorrect) friends and join us for a night of trivia hosted by Taylor Hreljac of Summer Dad. Expect questions spanning the comedy universe alongside visual rounds, puzzles, finish-the-lyric challenges, and our extremely ethical Totally Legit Trivia Enhancements, available to anyone willing to exchange money for clues, favours, sabotage, and other perfectly above-board competitive advantages. Teams of up to five can compete for prizes, including a comedy-packed grand prize worth more than $400, and every ticket supports TOsketchfest and the comedy artists we serve. Come for the trivia, stay for the corruption.
