The Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival will kick off Wednesday, March 8 at The Theatre Centre with The TOsketchfest Film Festival presented by The Second City. This event will include appearances by local comedians and filmmakers sharing some laughs and popcorn at this in person screening event.
Back for a sixth year, The TOsketchfest Film Festival is a curated selection of some of the funniest comedy shorts from across Canada and beyond, shining the spotlight on the best in on-screen sketch comedy.
We had an excellent roster of submissions this year, and our dedicated jury of comedy professionals painstakingly viewed and evaluated each one.

From this impeccable list of shorts, five will be revealed as nominees for “Outstanding Comedy Short” on Wednesday, March 8 at TOsketchfest Film Festival screening. One finalist film will be crowned “Outstanding Comedy Short” at our Best of the Fest Showcase on Sunday, March 19. The winner will receive a $500 cash prize.
