UNTITLED BLACK SKETCH PROJECT

THE SKETCH COMEDY PROJECT FUND – 2020 RECIPIENT

The Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival is proud to announce the 2020 recipient of The Sketch Comedy Project Fund is Untitled Black Sketch Project. The Sketch Comedy Project Fund is made possible through the generous support of The Pat and Tony Adams Freedom Fund for the Arts.

The Untitled Black Sketch Project is a new sketch troupe featuring an all-Black cast – the first troupe of its kind in Canada. Untitled Black Sketch Project will establish a new brand by creating an original revue in 2021, and a monthly show that shines a light on the community’s Black performers.

Directed by Brandon Hackett, and produced by Ajahnis Charley and Coko Galore, Untitled Black Sketch Project includes Phatt Al, Aba Amuquandoh, Ajahnis Charley, Alan Shane Lewis, Brandon Ash Mohammed and Nkasi Ogbonnah.

“Canada’s finally ready for its first all-Black sketch ensemble after 400 years in the making,” said the creators of Untitled Black Sketch Project.
