TSCF26 Insiders’ Guide – Part Two

Posted on: February 23rd, 2026 by Virginia Woodall

During the annual Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival, you can fill your calendar with shows by top notch comedy talent from across North America. But don’t take our word for it, get the insider recommendations. We asked some TOsketchfest favourites and die-hard fans to share what they’re most excited about seeing at TOsketchfest26. Read on. Grab a pass. Book some tix. Have some laughs.

(Check out Part One of this series for more reccos!)

A.C. Birch

Find A.C. Birch at TOsketchfest in Alter Boy, March 6th and 12th.

In many ways, going to a festival is like ordering a table of tapas (everyone is always saying this, I know!) – as delicious as everything looks, it can help to be a little choosey. If only for the sake of the weight capacity of the table. Which I guess in this case is your busy schedule? This metaphor is really getting away from me. ANYWAY! If you’re looking for some help refining your selection, then look no further than the recommendations of the boyish waiter with the gay little smile and the under-eye bags of someone who is surely approaching end-of-life (it’s me, I’m the waiter. The metaphor is still going. I live here now, inside of this restaurant. Help me!)

Here are my must-see shows for our final days at TOsketchfest…
  1. Legally Brown Presents: Corporate CULTure
This troupe knows how to mine a theme for every drop of gold. When I tell you I’m still thinking (almost daily) of a random one-liner from one of their recent holiday shows you must believe me.
  2. Summer Dad
Well, well, well, if it isn’t one of the nicest, biggest, most talented, largest, coolest, most populous troupes in the city! You simply must see them.
  3. Two2Mango
Can you believe I get to share a billing with these clowns? I’m obsessed with Sachin and Shreya, and only a smart part of that obsession is driven by Sachin’s tiny little necktie. Grab a ticket for their show so you can see what I’m talking about.

Jacqueline Ashton

Find Jacquie with Legally Brown on March 8th and March 11th, and with The Midnight Snacks on March 14th.

Holy smokes, this is my Sketch Fest 2.0 (last year I was a young grasshopper and this year I am the captain now)…so buckle up, it’s going to be a cwazy n wild festival. There are so many shows worth seeing if you want to laugh your f-ing a-off every single day, but these are some of my faves.

My recommendations…
  1. The Red Hot Sili Peppers are like the chilli crisps to my vanilla ice cream: utterly addictive, literally viral, and just the perfect sweet treat. They’re incredibly locked-in, every.single.time. Their shows are so muy picante I need to CHUG a glass of milk after, and I’m lactose intolerant, so that says a lot. I’m obsessed with them, they’re unstoppable & they’re HOT sellers obvi.
  2. EMILY JEFFERS EVERYBODY. Emily and Legally Brown have a special bond, because yes, we shared the stage as double bill headliners in Spotlight at the Second City in February. So, it’s no wonder she’s got a special place in my heart. I LOVE all of her absurd characters and incredible physical comedy. Emily’s brain is just mwah, chef’s kiss. I want to be her when I grow up, sue me.
  3. This recommendation is a two cakes, one pan kind of deal… Amanda Xeller is our friend from NYC, who Legally Brown was lucky enough to double bill with at last year’s Sketchfest! Her shows are incredibly hilarious and zany as she takes her characters to a level you didn’t even know was possible! Same show, same night, A.C. BIRCH – a shining star, they will quite literally have you cackling the house down. I don’t know about you, but I will absolutely be found hooting and hollering in the audience at this late-night show.

Kristina Guevarra

Catch Kristina Guevarra in Grease Trap with The Understudies on March 13 and with Brain Frogs on March 14 at Comedy Bar Bloor St in the Mainspace.

Her recommendations…
  1. Lou Laurence
The first time I saw Lou Laurence I was automatically enchanted, she had me tapping my feet to the rhythm of her funny little tunes and I was singing along like I was a fisherman at sea! Lou is the wittiest and sharpest serenading mermaid of all time. She is constantly weaving together melodies so clever, you’ll forget all of our own personal qualms on shore!
  2. Beacon of Hope
Oh boy, you better strap in… The millisecond you get wind of Nicky Fournier and Marty Graham on stage, you will be enamoured by this very CHARMING and very STRANGE duo. Their chemistry is undeniable like when you pop a mentos into a 2L of Diet Coke, an explosion of hilarity! Beacon of Hope is top tier, Montreal freaky, alternative comedy.
  3. The Tita Collective
These superstars are a sketch troupe I’ve been fangirling over for YEARS. Not only are they talented comedically and musically, but they are also making waves for the rest of us Filipinos who have an itch to defy limiting conventions and express ourselves through BIG laughs and art making. These ladies are constantly transcending the standard and pushing the needle forward. An absolute must see.

 Chris Leveille

Chris Leveille’s an award-winning sketch comedian who’s been a part of the comedy scene for over 15 years with troupes like Apology Not Accepted, Dame Judy Dench, and 32 Short Sketches About Bees. He’s also a Festival Board Member.

Their recommendations…
  1. Comedy Dance Chicago: Anyone who’s talked to me during Sketchfest knows how much I love this troupe. Lots of sketch troupes write jokes – but this troupe dances them! Super physical, super energetic, and super surprising, I always leave their shows with a smile on my lips, a song on my tongue, and inspiration on my molars.
  2. The Rocket Scientists: Years ago, I caught a Rocket Scientists set and laughed so hard beer came out my nose. This troupe hits my sweet spot – smart and silly. So I was excited to see they’re at Sketchfest as it’s been years since these silly geese performed together on stage – catch them now because who knows with their busy schedules – they’re all successful writers, performers, and comedians – when they’ll do it again!
  3. 24 Double B In the Belly of the Beast: I caught this red-headed duo’s set earlier this year and it left me excited to see more – so I’m definitely catching their festival show! They’re silly, smart, dumb, and committed to their bits – a winning combination – but they get my heart when they go meta. They’re also super nice and super funny, so you know you’re in for a treat!

See you at TOsketchfest

Meet the Featured Acts: BDB Comedy Brings Mandarin Sketch Night to TOsketchfest 2026

Show: BDB Comedy’s Mandarin Sketch Night
When: Saturday, March 14, 6:00pm
Where: The Theatre Centre, Franco Boni Theatre
Runtime: 75 minutes
Best for: Fans of high-energy sketch comedy and anyone curious to experience live comedy in Mandarin with English captions
Tickets: HERE

BDB Comedy returns to TOsketchfest as a Featured Act at the Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival, following a breakout debut that earned them the festival’s Audience Choice Award in 2024. Since forming in Toronto in 2022, BDB has quickly built a reputation for sharp, high-energy sketch comedy that plays confidently to the room and creates an unmistakable sense of fun. Their shows are fast-paced, tightly performed, and audience-forward, with a clear instinct for what lands live.

Mandarin Sketch Night brings together the strongest sketches BDB has developed over the past year, creating a lively showcase that reflects the group’s growth and momentum. The show is joyful and genre-spanning, rooted in strong ensemble chemistry and bold performance choices. Performed entirely in Mandarin with live English captions, the experience remains accessible while keeping the focus squarely on timing, craft, and big laughs. This is a crowd-pleasing comedy night led by a troupe that knows exactly how to connect.

“It’s a collective look at who we are and what we love: absurd, heartfelt, and very good.” – Olivia Tong, BDB Comedy

We asked BDB Comedy about their comedy, their process, and what audiences can expect from this show. Here’s what they had to say.

For readers meeting you for the first time: who are you, and how would you describe your comedy?

Hello, we’re BDB Comedy! Our name in Mandarin is 不得不喜剧. It is our fifth year creating and performing comedy in Toronto—mostly in Mandarin, and sometimes in English. We enjoy creating sketches that are relevant to our day-to-day lives. Our artists all share similar Mandarin-English bilingual backgrounds, which provides immense inspiration to pull from. We love emotional topics just as much as we love being goofballs about total shenanigans.

Tell us about the show you’re bringing to TOsketchfest. How did it come together?

Our show this year is another sketch hour featuring the best of our work from the past year. We currently have seven sketches in rehearsal, all born from our monthly ideation meetings. We’ve refined these premises through improv and tested them at our ‘Sketchy Sketch’ labs to bring you our funniest material yet.

What can audiences expect when they come to see this show?

Expect a high-energy genre mash-up! We’re jumping from ancient dynasty costume dramas to Stephen Chow-style underdog triumphs. Our stories are inspired by our lives as Millennials, GenZ, Torontonians, international students, immigrants, and kids who grew up obsessed with Chinese mythology. It’s a collective look at who we are and what we love: absurd, heartfelt, and very good.

What makes this show different from your past work, or from other sketch shows audiences might have seen?

We are constantly pushing ourselves to try things we’ve never done before—new genres, new dance tropes, and new technical challenges for our sound and light team. While our core spirit remains the same, BDB is evolving. We’re bolder and more experimental this year!

Why is TOsketchfest a great fit for this show?

We love Sketchfest! It has been such a welcoming home for us over the last three years. It was our first-ever comedy festival experience in 2024, and we love how each year it celebrates a massive variety of genres and talents. It’s full of kind, funny people, and we are so proud to be part of this community.

Who do you think will especially love this show?

Honestly we think anyone would have a great time. Whether you’re a sketch nerd or a first-timer, there’s something in here for you.

What excites you most about being a Featured Act at TOsketchfest this year?

When we heard the news, it felt like Wàn mǎ bēnténg (万马奔腾) — “ten thousand horses galloping through our hearts.” Since it’s the Year of the Horse, it’s spot on! It is an immense honor to be featured alongside some of the best comedians in North America. We can’t wait to join the celebration!

If someone is on the fence, what would you say to convince them to buy a ticket?

If you speak Mandarin, you’ll love the nuances and word play. If you don’t speak Mandarin, you’ll definitely love the stupidity, the energy and the comedy. Either way, you’re going to have a blast.

Why This Is a Featured Show

BDB Comedy was selected as a Featured Act because of the undeniable response their work receives from live audiences. Their debut at TOsketchfest in 2024 resulted in an Audience Choice Award, a clear signal of how strongly their comedy resonates in the room. The programming committee was drawn to their consistency, as well as the troupe’s confident performances, strong ensemble precision, and ability to sustain high energy across a full-length show.

Mandarin Sketch Night stands out for its clarity of purpose and execution. The sketches are tightly constructed, the performances are precise, and the overall experience feels celebratory without ever becoming loose or unfocused. Featuring BDB Comedy at TOsketchfest highlights a troupe that has quickly established itself as a dynamic and reliable presence, delivering joyful, high-quality sketch comedy that audiences genuinely want to experience again.

Don’t miss your chance to see one of TOsketchfest’s standout acts.

TSCF26 Insiders’ Guide – Part One

Posted on: February 17th, 2026 by Virginia Woodall

During the annual Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival, you can fill your calendar with shows by top notch comedy talent from across North America. But don’t take our word for it, get the insider recommendations. We asked some TOsketchfest favourites and die-hard fans to share what they’re most excited about seeing at TOsketchfest26. Read on. Grab a pass. Book some tix. Have some laughs.

Zoe Marín

Zoe Marín is an Argentine-American comedian (sketch, musical comedy, improv) who is so excited to be doing Toronto Sketch Fest for the 3rd year in a row (4th if you count the random year when she was an usher). You can catch her performing with her sketch-troupe Small Friend Tall Friend (March 12 and 14)! Or if you want to see a hilarious show she directed, go watch Amish Famous: The Musical (March 5 and 12).

Her recommendations…
  1. First.. A double bill. The Red Hot Sili Peppers are so so silly, while also playing on gender stereotypes in such a smart and ridiculous (non-derogatory) way that I LOVE! And you can catch them on a double-bill on March 6 with Boy Crazy — a queer (woo!) troupe from NYC whose new show I’m uber excited to watch.
  2. My sisters, Potato Potato, are the queens of political-satire, zillenial pop-culture references, and just overall silliness. Became a fan at TOsketchfest 2023, and they have been killing it every year!
  3. If you are craving some hilarious solo-sketch, go see BEASTMODE- Sarah Bennett! She is one of the funniest sketch/improv/stand-up comedians I know, and portrays such a fun array of weirdos and freaks that I can’t wait to watch at Sketchfest.
  4. Breaking the “Week 1” rules of part one in this blog series to tell you to go see 24 Double B in the Belly of the Beast. I’m serious when I tell you their Spotlight at the Second City show is one of the best things I’ve ever watched and I’m so in awe of them as performers/writers/improvizers. And they’re both gingers ! ✊🏼

Rami Khan

Rami Khan is an actor, writer, comedian who’s been a part of Toronto Sketchfest for FIVE YEARS now (holy moly) with his sketch troupe Potato Potato. As a pillar in the community (that’s a real housewives reference for those who don’t get it) Rami is beyond excited to share his recommendations for Sketchfest this year – even though you can NEVER go wrong with this year’s line up.

His recommendations…
  1. Cheap Wine is one of the most iconic, absurd and hilariously dead pan troupes in the city. As last year’s Audience Choice Award winners at Sketchfest they truly embrace sketch comedy with the most heart and soul. Their comedy always leaves me wanting more and I cannot wait to see what their Sketchfest show brings!
  2. If you love a witty, silly song look no further than Small Friend Tall Friend. Small Friend Tall Friend has been one of my favourite troupes to watch rise through the comedy ranks. Their humor and wit has grown over the years with a precise POV and one of my favourite sketches of all time about having an intimate experience with Nosferatu.
  3. As for a “troupe to watch” I will be putting my life’s savings on Debit, Cash, and Credit. I’ve gotten to know and love this troupe’s silly yet satirical work over the past year and seeing their growth in such a short time has been exciting to watch. Definitely check them out to see what the cool kids are up to these days.

Emily Jeffers

Emily Jeffers is an actor, comedian and clown known for zany, fantastical characters like the Mathemagician (at Sketchfest March 4 and 13!) and Bitty-Bat. She performed with fellow Sketchfest babes Legally Brown at Spotlight at Second City in February!

Her recommendations…
  1. Vivek Srikanthan is one of the top solo sketch performers in Toronto, and he’s just getting started! Having already smashed it with his first solo show appearing at festivals across North America, whatever he’s cooking up for this new show is a sure bet!
  2. Having made the leap from the humble stages of their childhood living rooms in Sarnia, Ontario, to twice appearing on Canada’s Got Talent, Carson and Taylor are a delightful and idiotic duo with impeccable chemistry, ridiculous gags, and the ability to generate the kind of laughs that hurt your cheeks. Can’t wait for this one!
  3. For a high-energy, high-quality (not necessarily high-brow) comedy sampler, Monster Island is just the ticket! The weirdos running this show are hell-bent on bringing the most random characters to the stage, and the Toronto comedy scene is all the better for it. Stage time for this show is in high demand, so whoever is on the lineup is sure to impress!
  4. Amanda Xeller is a returning Sketchfest favourite who consistently BRINGS IT with full commitment and utter brilliance. If you haven’t seen her perform, you simply must. Hugely inspirational and completely unforgettable.

Robyn Slack

Robyn Slack is a writer, illustrator, comedian and musician from Edmonton, Alberta that Toronto Sketchfest die-hards might know as one half of musical comedy duo Success 5000. They’re thrilled to be performing in their fifth(??? lost count at some point during the pandemic) TOsketchfest this year at the Comedy Bar Cabaret Space.

His recommendations…
  1. Cam Wyllie is the funniest man in sketch. I probably don’t have to tell you that, but if you’re somehow just hearing about him, it is my honour and privilege to quantifiably improve your life. His show directly overlaps with one of mine, but I’m such a huge Cam fan that I’m recommending him anyway.
  2. If you’re going to see ONE ACT from Edmonton at this year’s festival, you’ve GOTTA see Sketchy Broads. They’re clever, raunchy, and hilarious. Each cast member is an incredible performer and comedian in her own right, and the fact that they got together and formed a supergroup is absurd and should maybe be illegal? They’re TOO funny. They MUST be stopped.
  3. Finally, festivals like this are all about getting out of your comfort zone and trying new things. In that spirit: go look at the listing for One Butthole After Another. Take a moment to really appreciate that title, and the artistry with which Leonardo DiCaprio’s orifices have been Photoshopped into anuses in the accompanying image. I haven’t seen this show. I don’t know this performer. But I’m excited to go in with only this title and image and see what awaits me.

See you at TOsketchfest

Got all that?! That’s a full dancecard. And we can’t argue with these picks.

We hope you enjoyed the first installment of our TOsketchfest Insiders’ Guide. Stay tuned for Part Two, featuring tips from EVEN MORE TOsketchfest artists and insiders.

Now go get your TOsketchfest Festival Pass and get ready for 12 days of the best live comedy on earth!

Meet the Featured Acts: Jon Blair

Posted on: February 16th, 2026 by Virginia Woodall

Meet the Featured Acts: Jon Blair Brings A Comedy Show At The End Of The World to TOsketchfest 2026

Show: Jon Blair’s A Comedy Show At The End Of The World
When: Friday, March 13, 8:00pm
Where: The Theatre Centre, Franco Boni Theatre
Runtime: 75 minutes
Best for: Fans of absurd humour, solo sketch comedy, and inventive theatrical storytelling
Tickets: HERE

Jon Blair is a Featured Act at the Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival, and a foundational figure in Toronto’s solo sketch comedy scene. For nearly two decades, Jon has been a singular voice in Canadian comedy, known for sharp writing, inventive formats, and an ability to blend satire, music, and character work into fully realized shows. A two-time Best of the Fest winner at TOsketchfest, he has also written for This Hour Has 22 Minutes and Because News, and is currently a member of the Second City Touring Company.

He returns to TOsketchfest with A Comedy Show At The End Of The World, a sell-out hit from the 2025 Edmonton Fringe Festival. Set in a post-apocalyptic settlement where comedy is a questionable but beloved survival skill, the show combines sketch, music, and theatrical storytelling. Equal parts absurd and thoughtful, it’s a playful examination of what comedy is for when everything else has fallen apart, delivered by one of the most inventive solo performers working today.

“It’s very silly at some points and thoughtful at others, and it’s about trying to find the purpose of art in bad times.” – Jon Blair

We asked Jon Blair about his comedy, his process, and what audiences can expect from this show. Here’s what he had to say.

For readers meeting you for the first time: who are you, and how would you describe your comedy?

I’m Jon! I’ve been doing solo sketch comedy in Toronto for almost 15 years and I’ve worked with a lot of other groups like The Sketchersons, Sex T-Rex and currently the Second City Touring Company. My comedy is very absurd and character driven with a lot of big twists and reveals.

Tell us about the show you’re bringing to TOsketchfest. How did it come together?

A Comedy Show at the End of the World is a hybrid one-man play/sketch show about a former television comedian still trying to make his way as a traveling performer after comedy inexplicably failed to prevent the apocalypse. It’s very silly at some points and thoughtful at others and deals with trying to find the purpose of art in bad times. I’d been doing solo hours of pure sketch work at festivals for a number of years before I started experimenting with giving the sketches an overarching narrative structure in my previous revue Clip Show, and this one feels like the next step in that experiment, in turning a sketch show into a more theatrical-style play.

What can audiences expect when they come to see this show?

Much like real life, audiences can expect society to collapse into a lawless wasteland of scarcity and chaos. Except once that happens there are also sketches, songs, storytelling, contests, one-man fistfights and superintelligent raccoons.

What makes this show different from your past work, or from other sketch shows audiences might have seen?

It’s a play about a sketch show, which means it spends half its time being a sketch show and half its time telling the larger story of the world it takes place in, and the person still committed to a comedian’s life after civilization has ended. I started out just writing little bits in between the sketches to tie them together and then this whole other story started jumping out of it, so now it’s that!

Why is TOsketchfest a great fit for this show?

The show is about comedy – why we do it, what it can and can’t do for us in dark times, and why it survives from one disaster to the next – and I think a festival with so many people who have comedy on the brain and one that acts as such an incubator for it is a great place for that lil exploration to happen.

Who do you think will especially love this show?

People who like absurd humour, self-examining comedy and genre parody. Fans of Mad Max, Fallout, and early 60’s pop girl groups. Roving gangs of bandits and bards. People who are over-encumbered from picking up too much useful-looking junk off the road.

What excites you most about being a Featured Act at TOsketchfest this year?

When you take a show like this to a Fringe festival or something like that, a lot of what you’re doing is trying to pitch it to the world at large and hoping that it happens to be up their alley once they get there. Doing it at Sketchfest, I’ve already got a pretty good feeling that the people checking out that festival are going to like this sort of thing; it takes a lot of the pressure off and lets me just have fun with it!

If someone is on the fence, what would you say to convince them to buy a ticket?

(raises hands to chest level, palms turned upward) cmonnnn

Why This Is a Featured Show

Jon Blair was selected as a Featured Act because his work represents a rare combination of craft, originality, and deep roots in the sketch comedy community. A Comedy Show At The End Of The World is a confident, fully formed solo piece that stretches the boundaries of sketch without losing its accessibility or sense of fun. The programming committee was drawn to the show’s inventive framing, its tight writing, and Jon’s ability to seamlessly shift between character, commentary, and theatrical play.

This show also reflects Jon’s long-standing impact on the form. As a formative presence in Toronto’s solo sketch scene, he has consistently pushed what solo comedy can be, both on stage and online. Featuring A Comedy Show At The End Of The World at TOsketchfest highlights not only an outstanding new work, but an artist whose career exemplifies experimentation, longevity, and excellence in Canadian sketch comedy.

Don’t miss your chance to see one of TOsketchfest’s standout acts.

This featured show has limited seating and is expected to sell quickly.

Meet the Featured Acts: Tita Collective

Posted on: February 12th, 2026 by Virginia Woodall

Meet the Featured Acts: The Tita Collective Brings Tita Jokes to TOsketchfest 2026

Show: The Tita Collective presents Tita Jokes
When: Thursday, March 12, 8pm
Where: The Theatre Centre, Franco Boni Theatre
Runtime: 75 minutes
Best for: Fans of musical sketch comedy, family stories, and comedy with real heart
Tickets: HERE

Tita Collective is a Featured Act at the Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival, and their return feels both celebratory and full circle. An award-winning all-Filipina ensemble based in Toronto, Tita Collective has built an international reputation for joyful, incisive, and emotionally resonant comedy that blends sketch, music, dance, and storytelling. Their work has earned major recognition across Canada, including multiple Just For Laughs awards, a Second City Outstanding Comedy Award, and repeated honours at the Montreal and Toronto Sketch Comedy Festivals and the Toronto Fringe Festival.

They bring Tita Jokes back to the TOsketchfest stage after years on tour, returning the show to the festival where it began. A musical sketch comedy love letter to Filipina elders, Tita Jokes explores heartache, resilience, and the many ways humour helps us survive and connect. Warm, funny, and layered, the show celebrates mothers, sisters, Lolas, and chosen family, offering a deeply personal experience that resonates far beyond the specifics of its stories.

“It’s sketch comedy with heart. You’ll laugh hard, and you might also recognize yourself along the way.” – Alia Rasul, Tita Collective

We asked the Tita Collective about their comedy, their process, and what audiences can expect from this show. Here’s what they had to say.

For readers meeting you for the first time: who are you, and how would you describe your comedy?

I’m Alia Rasul, one of the creators behind Tita Collective. We’re a Filipina-led sketch comedy group making work about identity, family, diaspora, and the chaos of being grown Millennial women with auntie responsibilities. Our comedy is character-driven, joyful, musical, and rooted in lived experience: we love big laughs, but we’re also interested in community storytelling and we may or may not be using this to recruit you for our new pyramid-ish scheme.

Tell us about the show you’re bringing to TOsketchfest. How did it come together?

This show came from years of conversations between Filipina artists about care, burnout, joy, expectations, and what it means to carry culture across generations. We started building sketches out of real moments, group chats, family dinners, inner child healing, karaoke, and shaped them into a fast-paced, high-energy ensemble show that feels both deeply personal and wildly silly.

What can audiences expect when they come to see this show?

Bold characters. Musical moments. Filipino Auntie chaos. Tender surprises. It’s sketch comedy with heart. You’ll laugh hard, and you might also recognize yourself along the way.

What makes this show different from your past work, or from other sketch shows audiences might have seen?

This work is material that we have performed and rewritten across Canada for over 9 years, but it hasn’t been home to Toronto in a while, so it’s mostly the same stuff but it’s seen some stuff. It has AGED. We hear everything is better when aged, so get excited!

Why is TOsketchfest a great fit for this show?

This is where we began! It’s home!

Who do you think will especially love this show?

Anyone who loves character comedy. Anyone who grew up in immigrant families. Anyone navigating identity, chosen family, or generational expectations. And honestly, anyone who wants something funny, heartfelt, and a little unhinged.

What excites you most about being a Featured Act at TOsketchfest this year?

It’s huge to bring Filipina-led work to this platform. Being a Featured Act feels collective, it’s visibility for artists who don’t always get centered in comedy spaces, and that matters.

If someone is on the fence, what would you say to convince them to buy a ticket?

Come for the laughs. Stay for the aunties. This show is loud, joyful, weird, and made with a lot of love. There might also be food, so there’s that!

Why This Is a Featured Show

Tita Collective was selected as a Featured Act because Tita Jokes exemplifies the power of sketch comedy to tell culturally specific stories with wide emotional reach. The programming committee was drawn to the ensemble’s confident blend of comedy, music, and movement, and to the way the show balances laugh-out-loud moments with genuine tenderness and insight. This is a work that is meticulously crafted, yet feels generous and open, inviting audiences into a shared experience rather than performing at them.

What sets Tita Jokes apart is how deeply it connects with audiences. The ensemble’s chemistry and confidence onstage create a sense of warmth and trust, allowing the comedy to hit harder and the quieter moments to resonate. Bringing Tita Jokes back to TOsketchfest celebrates a show that is widely loved, beautifully made, and a standout example of sketch comedy that stays with audiences long after the final moment.

Don’t miss your chance to see one of TOsketchfest’s standout acts.

Meet the Featured Acts: Sex T-Rex

Posted on: February 4th, 2026 by Virginia Woodall

Meet the Featured Acts: Sex T-Rex Brings Crime After Crime to TOsketchfest 2026

Show: Sex T-Rex presents Crime After Crime (After Crime)
When: Friday March 6, 8pm & Saturday March 7, 8pm
Where: The Theatre Centre, Franco Boni Theatre
Runtime: 75 minutes
Best for: Fans of physical comedy, cinematic parody, and high-energy ensemble shows
Tickets: HERE

Sex T-Rex is a Featured Act at the Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival, and if you’ve ever seen their work, you know this is not a casual distinction. Since forming in Toronto in 2008, Sex T-Rex has built a reputation as one of Canada’s most accomplished and consistently exciting sketch comedy companies. Their shows combine cinematic storytelling, precise physical comedy, and meticulously choreographed chaos, earning them major accolades like the 2024 Dora Mavor Moore Award for Outstanding Ensemble, multiple Best of Fest honours, and critical praise from the Toronto Star, Broadway World, and beyond.

They return to TOsketchfest with Crime After Crime (After Crime), a multi-award-winning hit that spans three eras of crime cinema, from film noir to buddy cops, all filtered through Sex T-Rex’s signature blend of high-stakes storytelling and deeply silly goofs. Expect fast pacing, bold physicality, and a show that rewards close attention while never taking itself too seriously. This is big, ambitious sketch comedy, executed by a troupe operating at the top of their game.

“Our comedy is very silly, but you’re also going to get a full-on story.” – Seann Murray, Sex T-Rex

We asked Sex T-Rex about their comedy, their process, and what audiences can expect from this show. Here’s what they had to say.

For readers meeting you for the first time: who are you, and how would you describe your comedy?

Oh hi, we’re Sex T-Rex! We do very genre-based physical comedy – the idea is to translate big, cinematic tropes to the stage, mostly using your imagination. Our comedy is very silly, but you’re also going to get a full-on story.

Tell us about the show you’re bringing to TOsketchfest. How did it come together?

Our show Crime After Crime (After Crime) follows a single family through three different “crime periods,” with a Film Noir set in the ’50s, a Heist film set in the ’70s, and a Buddy Cop movie set in the ’90s. Crime came together with the idea of exploring multiple genres in a single show, and having the individual pieces be able to be performed independently. We got too caught up in the plot for that last part, and now it’s a total package!

What can audiences expect when they come to see this show?

Loving sendups of these classic genres, lots of high-octane action (fight scenes, car chases, dance montages), and a surprising amount of heart for a goofy comedy show.

What makes this show different from your past work, or from other sketch shows audiences might have seen?

Crime After Crime is a very ambitious show; we cover a lot of ground in an hour and you’ll get a continuous story, which is different from most sketch, while also getting a constant stream of jokes.

Why is TOsketchfest a great fit for this show?

We actually performed “A Noir in Beige,” the first part of the Crime After Crime triptych, at TOsketchfest in 2019 – and it earned us the coveted Best of TOsketchfest Award! Now that Crime is in its complete form, we are so excited to bring it back to one of our very favourite festivals.

Who do you think will especially love this show?

Anyone who loves to laugh. Comedy artists who are into theatre. Theatre people who are into comedy. Mouth-noise enthusiasts.

What excites you most about being a Featured Act at TOsketchfest this year?

TOsketchfest celebrates the Toronto comedy community like no other festival. It’s a real honour to be back as a Featured Act. We’re looking forward to seeing lots of shows by incredibly talented acts!

If someone is on the fence, what would you say to convince them to buy a ticket?

You’ll get to watch four grown adults reenact a car chase through swing dance. Also they sell beer there.

Why This Is a Featured Show

Sex T-Rex was selected as a Featured Act because their work represents the very best of what sketch comedy can be right now. Crime After Crime (After Crime) is a fully realized theatrical experience that blends genre parody, physical storytelling, and ensemble precision into a cohesive, confident show. The programming committee was drawn to the ambition of the show, its technical execution, and the way it balances scale with clarity. Every movement, transition, and beat is intentional, without ever losing the joy or surprise of live comedy.

This show also reflects the evolution of a veteran ensemble still pushing themselves creatively. With over a decade of acclaimed productions behind them, Sex T-Rex continues to raise the bar for long-form sketch, proving that the form can be cinematic, emotionally grounded, and wildly entertaining all at once. Featuring Crime After Crime (After Crime) at TOsketchfest is both a celebration of their legacy and a spotlight on a show that exemplifies excellence, craft, and ambition in contemporary sketch comedy.

Don’t miss your chance to see one of TOsketchfest’s standout acts.

This featured show has limited seating and is expected to sell quickly.

My Sketch Comedy Vacation

Posted on: January 4th, 2026 by Virginia Woodall

My Sketch Comedy Vacation: Jet Lagged and Joke-Filled

TOsketchfest Producer Virginia Woodall, setting off on the train to Montreal

Last spring, while most people were dreaming about cottage getaways or patio season, I packed a carry-on, grabbed my notebook, and set off on what I like to call my sketch comedy vacation. I had the absolute joy of attending not one, but two sketch comedy festivals back-to-back: Montreal Sketchfest and Newfoundland and Labrador Sketchfest. I came back inspired, energized, and charged up by shared laughter.

Stop 1: Montreal Sketchfest – Late Nights, Big Laughs, and Bold Choices

Théâtre Sainte-Catherine, home of Montreal Sketchfest

Montreal Sketchfest celebrated its 18th glorious year last May, and I was lucky enough to be there for the final weekend, May 8 to 10. It was my second time attending, and if you’ve never experienced late-night sketch in a city that treats art like a party, you’re missing out.

Montreal knows how to throw a festival. The energy is physical, messy, and gloriously unhinged. More than one person warned me not to sit in the first couple rows unless I was ready for the splash zone. They weren’t kidding. These performers go big, and they hold nothing back if it serves the laugh. Props flew, liquids splattered, whipped cream was sprayed, and every moment felt like a new surprise.

Most of the festival took place at Théâtre Sainte-Catherine, a cozy venue with exposed brick walls and a narrow spiral staircase that leads to a tiny balcony where artists perch like mischievous gargoyles, watching the action below. I caught the Francophone showcase at the second venue just down the road, La Comédie. Bigger stage, bolder moves, and a totally different vibe. The hardest part about multiple venues? Choosing which show to see when everything happening at once looks incredible.

Friday’s live band karaoke after-party was the kind of night you never forget. The sketch comedians who formed the band rotated instruments between songs, with different artists taking the stage to belt all sorts of bangers like their lives depended on it. Saturday’s closing comedy marathon was a dream. Three shows in one night, culminating in the Best of the Fest show! Ten acts, five-minute sketches, awards and then the legendary dance party. It was the kind of late-night comedy vibes that Montreal is famous for. It’s wild, welcoming, and wonderful.

Experiencing Montreal’s programming up close also helped me compare how different cities structure their showcases, organize their late-night blocks, and shape their festival culture, a context that became even more valuable once I reached Newfoundland.

Stop 2: NL Sketchfest – The Roots Run Funny Here

LSPU Hall, the new headquarters for NL Sketchfest

Three days later, I landed in St. John’s for Newfoundland and Labrador Sketchfest, just in time for night two. I stayed for the rest of the run, and I already want to go back. I wasn’t alone on this stop – I was joined by TOsketchfest’s Executive Director, Paul Snepsts, and our Production Manager, Andrea Miller. The three of us were there not only as enthusiastic audience members, but also as researchers, hoping to learn with fresh eyes, from a growing regional festival.

Held from May 13 to 18, NL Sketchfest was only in its second year, and it already felt like it’s been here forever. This year they moved from a bingo hall to the LSPU Hall, a historic theatre that’s seen generations of Newfoundland comedy legends. It’s the kind of venue where you can feel the ghosts of sketches past in the best possible way.

We were able to make this trip thanks to the support of the Canada Council for the Arts, whose Travel grant helped us spend five days in St. John’s. Their investment allowed us to attend performances, meet artists in person, and deepen our understanding of East Coast sketch comedy. We’re incredibly grateful for their support.

St. John’s welcomed us like family. The kind of family that hands you a touton and a cup of tea and then launches into a sketch about it. The shows were sharp, colourful, and deeply rooted in place. Even when I didn’t know the exact reference, I still felt like I got it. The local lore is baked right into the comedy, and you’re invited to laugh along, no decoder ring required.

As a team, we realized quickly how much of this work you can only understand by being in the room. Regional sketch doesn’t always translate on video submissions. Context, cadence, and local reference points are woven right into the humour. Being in St. John’s confirmed something we had hoped to learn: that building relationships in person helps us better understand artists’ voices and create clearer, more welcoming pathways for Newfoundland and Labrador performers to feel confident submitting to TOsketchfest.

Compared to Montreal’s party energy, NL Sketchfest wrapped you in a big, wooly embrace. It was wholesome without being tame, political without being preachy, and every act brought something distinct. There’s a long and proud tradition of sketch in Newfoundland, and you can feel that legacy onstage and off.

Andrea, TOsketchfest’s Production Manager, spent much of the week paying close attention to the technical environment at the LSPU Hall. She noted how the custom set gave artists an additional area in which to work. The thoughtful stage crew kept the shows on track and provided backstage support that helped both the logistics of live performance and brought the artists’ vision to life. The technical approach in St. John’s gave us ideas about how we can better support artists on our stages in Toronto, particularly in ways that highlight the playful theatricality that sketch relies on.

Both festivals were inclusive, diverse, and overflowing with fresh ideas. As a producer, I came back with pages of notes, new connections, and a big old crush on the national sketch community.

Nkasi Ogbonnah’s Cross-Country Comedy Itinerary

Nkasi Ogbonnah at TOsketchfest25, photo by Ramya Jegatheesan

I wasn’t the only one zigzagging across the country last May. Toronto-based sketch comedian Nkasi Ogbonnah performed at both Montreal Sketchfest and Newfoundland and Labrador Sketch Fest, making her one of the only artists to appear at both festivals this year. While our paths crossed a lot on our travels, we connected back in Toronto for coffee, tea, and to talk about comedy. Her experience offers a vivid artist’s-eye view of what it’s like to take your show on the road and land it in front of brand new audiences.

When I asked her to describe the vibe of each festival, she nailed it. Montreal, she said, “has the energy of a college party with grownups […] Even though I hadn’t performed there in years, I knew exactly what the energy would be when I got there, and it was exactly that.” Newfoundland, on the other hand, felt “homey, like a comforter.” The community in St. John’s was warm and welcoming, and the energy in the room was one of support. “It felt like a big family all coming together.”

Her show is political and personal. She didn’t rewrite it to suit each city. She changed one Toronto reference to a Canada-wide one, but otherwise kept it intact. “If I change it just because I’m scared of what people might think, it’s not the same show anymore.” That decision led to one of her most meaningful moments of the tour. After a performance in St. John’s, a Black woman from the audience came up to her and said, “This was for me.” That moment stuck. “That’s the reason I do this,” Nkasi said. “If one person feels seen and heard and held by the show, that’s everything.”

Performing the same show in different places gave Nkasi a stronger sense of control, clarity, and confidence in her solo work. “Toronto Sketchfest was my first time doing a solo half-hour. It was terrifying. Montreal and Newfoundland were my second and third. I could feel myself settling into it. I wasn’t just getting through it anymore. I could play.”

Seeing other performers helped, too. In Montreal, she was blown away by a troupe called Grease Trap, “Their stuff made me feel like a kid touching grass for the first time. I didn’t know how much I missed seeing work like that. Comedy that’s clearly written for someone like me.” And in Newfoundland, she finally caught Colonial Circus after over a year of trying. “They were mind-blowing. Smart, hilarious, a little uncomfy in the best way. I was so excited, I think I scared them after the show.”

By the end of her cross-country tour, she wasn’t drained, she was activated. “It recharged my relationship with sketch. I didn’t know I needed that push, but I did. I came back ready to write, ready to push further, ready to make something new.”

So, What Did I Learn?

Every sketch comedy scene has its own personality. Montreal is your bold, wild best friend who dares you to stay out until 4am. St. John’s is your brilliant, funny cousin who remembers every inside joke, has impeccable timing, and makes you feel like part of something bigger.

Attending both back to back was a dream. I laughed until I cried (literally), clapped until my hands were sore, and left both cities feeling more connected than ever to the broader comedy world.

I learned how valuable it is to show up in person, especially when building relationships with artists outside major centres. Meeting performers face-to-face, on their home turf, helped me understand their work in ways a submission link never could. It confirmed how important it is for us to keep building national connections so artists from every region feel seen, supported, and welcome at TOsketchfest.

My sketch comedy vacation of eleven whirlwind days reminded me why we do this. The absurd hours, the last-minute tech rewrites, the eternal quest for the perfect blackout. Because sketch comedy is alive and thriving across this country. And lucky me, I got to reconnect with everything I love about sketch comedy: the joy, the community, the beautiful chaos of it all. I left feeling inspired, welcomed, and reminded why this art form feels like home. This is the energy and motivation I’m bringing with me into 2026.

Get Funding to Make Your Next Sketch Happen

Posted on: October 30th, 2025 by Virginia Woodall

Ontario Sketch Comedy Creators: Get Recommended for Funding!

Halloween isn’t over, and we know that one of the most intimidating costumes to see can be a grant to apply for funding. It’s time to put that behind you and dive into grant-writing without fear!

If you’ve got a brilliant idea for a new sketch comedy show, this might be your sign from the comedy gods (and the Ontario Arts Council): TOsketchfest is a recommender organization for the OAC’s Recommender Grants for Theatre Creators program.

That means we get to recommend artists for funding to develop new comedy projects. Yes, you could get paid to create your next show.

What This Program Is

Think of this as the development phase of your next big thing. That inspired show premise that has been sitting lonely on your notes app. Or maybe it’s even a little more structured and mapped out in your google drive. This is the grant for that project.

The OAC Recommender Grants for Theatre Creators exist to help artists and companies develop original work for the stage. It’s about the writing, the workshops, the creative sparks, and all the weird wonderful stuff that happens before an audience sees it. It’s not about producing a full show yet, so start at the beginning.

Pro tip: This program funds creation only, not performance or production. It’s your creative lab time, funded.

Learn more about the program on the OAC website.

What TOsketchfest Is Looking For

We’re recommending comedy projects only and specifically sketch comedy or related short-form scripted comedy intended for the stage. That includes:

  • Sketch comedy by existing troupes
  • Collaborative projects between comedians
  • Solo sketch, clown, musical short-form comedy, or comedic drag

We’re not recommending improv, stand-up, or existing scripted plays.

We’re especially excited to support artists based in Toronto and Eastern Ontario (with a soft spot for Hastings and Prince Edward County).

We encourage applications from artists who self-identify as members of OAC priority groups.

Click here for a list of all 2025 Recommenders and their priorities.

How to Apply

Applications are made through the OAC Nova portal. Create your profile today!
Deadline: Friday, November 7, 2025 at 1:00pm ET.
You’ll need to choose Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival as your recommender when submitting.

Find the full program details and eligibility here:
OAC Recommender Grants for Theatre Creators

If you’re new to applying, don’t sweat it. You don’t need fancy credentials or a theatre company, just a great idea for a sketch project and a clear sense of what you want to create.

Questions? Reach out to Virginia Woodall at virginia@torontosketchfest.com. She’s happy to help you figure out if your idea fits.

What You’ll Be Asked (No Secrets Here)

If you’ve never filled out an OAC application before, don’t worry, it’s not a test! It’s a conversation about your idea. Here’s what the form will ask you to describe (see the exact list of questions on the OAC website):

  • Your project idea: What do you want to create? What’s it about?
  • Your artistic goals: Why is this project important to you, and what are you exploring?
  • Your creation plan: How will you develop the work? What are your steps and timeline?
  • Your collaborators: Who else is involved, and what are their roles?
  • Your budget: How will you use the funds (e.g. writing time, rehearsal space, collaborators, materials)?
  • Your background: Tell us a bit about your artistic experience and practice.

That’s it! No secret handshake, no jargon test. Just an honest outline of what you’re creating and why it matters.

If you can describe your idea clearly to a friend, you can write a great grant application.

How TOsketchfest Reviews Applications

Your proposal will be reviewed by a team of sketch comedy experts with deep roots in the Ontario comedy scene. We’ll assess each project using criteria inspired by the OAC’s evaluation rubric, including:

  • Artistic Merit
  • Impact
  • Viability (does your plan make sense?)
  • Your experience and clarity of vision

We’re not looking for polished perfection. We’re looking for exciting, funny, original ideas that deserve time and support to grow.

Meet Last Year’s Recommended Projects

In 2024, TOsketchfest recommended an incredible lineup of comedy creators. Their projects ranged from all-trans sketch revues to giant puppet experiments to musical comedies about bike thieves (yes, really).

Here are a few highlights:

Why You Should Apply (Even If You’re Nervous)

We know applying for grants can feel intimidating. But this program is meant for you, for artists in the middle of making, discovering, or experimenting. You don’t need a full script. This is your chance to carve out paid time to write, collaborate, and grow as a comedy creator.

So go ahead: make your case, tell us your idea, and let’s see if we can help make it happen.

Ready to Apply?

Visit the OAC Recommender Grants for Theatre Creators page, choose Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival as your recommender, and get your application in by November 7 at 1pm ET.

We can’t wait to read what you’re cooking up.
Because the next great sketch show? It might just be yours.

Sketchfest Comedy Cabaret: Back-to-Sketch Edition

Posted on: September 11th, 2025 by Virginia Woodall

Sketchfest Comedy Cabaret Heats Up the Last Weekend of Summer

The Sketchfest Comedy Cabaret is back from summer break, and we’re closing out the season with a lineup that’s hotter than a Toronto patio in July. On Saturday, September 20th at 10:00pm, VideoCabaret will be buzzing with big laughs, sharp sets, and a full roster of Toronto’s funniest sketch troupes ready to bring the house down.

It’s the last official weekend of summer, and what better way to send it off than with a late-night comedy party? Bring a friend, grab a drink, and get ready for a night of fast, fresh, and fearless sketch.

🗓️ Saturday, September 20, 2025
🕗 Show starts at 10:00pm
🎭 Featuring SIX different sketch comedy acts
🎟️ Tickets: $20 + fees/taxes
📍VideoCabaret, Leslieville (10 Busy Street)

Check out the full lineup below and grab your tickets before they’re gone! 🎟️

Small Friend Tall Friend

Small Friend Tall Friend is a dynamic sketch-comedy group founded by Becky Ablack and Zoe Marín. The troupe is known for their sharp wit and playful absurdity. Most recently, they performed at the Spotlight at The Second City, alongside troupe members David Civcic and Stephanie Perri.

The troupe has been making waves in the Toronto comedy scene, performing at the Toronto SketchFest 2025 and Montreal Sketchfest 2025. In July 2023, they brought their hit show Do You Think You’re Better Than Me? to the Toronto Fringe Festival and Hamilton Fringe Festival, receiving glowing reviews from Intermission Magazine, Parton and Pearl, So Sumi, and more. The show’s success was further cemented when it was named Critics’ Pick at the Hamilton Fringe Festival 2023. They have gone on to perform at festivals, including The Theatre Centre’s Comedy Is Art Festival in 2024. Their humour is rooted in pop culture, identity politics, and the awkward realities of being in their early 20s. They draw inspiration from boundary-pushing artists such as Tim Robinson (I Think You Should Leave), Maya Erskine and Anna Konkle (PEN15), Ziwe, Garfunkel and Oates, Bo Burnham, and Julio Torres.

Lower Class Act

Lower Class Act, comes from the working class school of comedy. With many of the members coming from acting, improv, sketch, and musical theatre, their unique voice takes inspiration from all across human history and their own intrusive thoughts. They have created a style of comedy that both delights and shocks, and will have audiences holding their sides with laughter. With members who can be seen all around the city doing all sorts of comedy, you will leave thinking, wow, that really was a Lower Class Act.

The Banana Loafers

Gordon Harper, Ivan Hutomo and Jennifer-Beth Hanchar give you “The Banana Loafers”: a loveable and laughable sketch troupe based out of Toronto. A shared passion in writing, comedy, aliens, and well..a good hot slice of banana bread, these three are ready to make you laugh your loaf off. For the record, Gordon has made banana loaf for the group twice.

Debit-Cash-or-Credit

Debit-Cash-or-Credit (Mike Jankovich, Emma Friedman, and Paul Smith) is a new-generation Toronto-based sketch troupe who have been laughing and playing together since meeting in Kingston, ON. (2017). Audiences have defined their work as “glamourous”, “structured”, “silly”, and “is it okay for me to laugh at this?”. With performances at SketchFestTO, their semi-finalist title in Sketch-to-the-Death, their “Dumbest Sketch in North America” win at Cam Wylie’s Sketch Comedy Invitational, and being labelled this year’s “Ones to Watch” by Toronto Police Services, DCC is willing to bet that they’ll have you running a tab.

Truffle Chips

Truffle Chips. Definition: 1. Posh movie theatre snack 2. Two arrogantly ambitious community theatre stars (Emilia and Srutika) joining forces to do sketch comedy. Clown, c*nt, canonically online.

Portero Jones

Portero Jones is a sketch duo whose absurdist and observational sketches are formed out of spite for the world, society, and each other. We’ll see how long they last.

September 23-27

Will the CN Tower disappear? That’s the question on everyone’s mind as magic-comedy duo Carson & Taylor return to pull off their biggest trick yet. Part illusion, part improv, all mischief. This award-winning duo is back to make you laugh and gasp in equal measure.

Five Toronto Comedy Shows to See in August 2025

Posted on: July 31st, 2025 by Virginia Woodall

It’s time for the top five comedy shows to see in Toronto in August 2025. Wondering what shows TOsketchfest is watching over the next 30 days? Consider this your comedy itinerary. After a day of summer sunshine, the best way to cool off is with a belly laugh. These shows will keep your cheeks sore from laughing!

Galen’s Grocer

August 14, 9:00pm

We elbowed our way into a ticket back in July (okay, we clicked fast), and now this sold-out, award-winning Toronto Fringe show is back for one night only! There’s a serial killer. There’s more than one CEO. There’s a sitcom so meta it might implode. Basically, it’s the best grocery store comedy-drama you never knew you needed.

Comedy Bar Danforth, Tickets & Info

Judge Mintz

August 18, 8:00pm

Think Judge Judy, but with more laughs and zero legal credibility. This improvised courtroom comedy is hosted by J.J. Greenberg & Brandon Craggs. Filled with appearances by Toronto’s top improv (and sketch) comedians, every show is one-of-a-kind. We caught it at Toronto Fringe, fell in love, and now it’s our monthly dose of courtroom chaos (without any legal repercussions). Guilty of delivering laughs? Absolutely. See you in court.

Comedy Bar Bloor, Tickets & Info

Literal Trash: A Comedy Experience

August 19, 8:00pm

Back in June we had the pleasure of attending an artist talk-back and got the behind-the-scenes scoop. And now we’re fully invested in Literal Trash’s delightful journey. We will be there this August to see the character Literal Trash brought to life. Comedy that existentially dives into self-doubt and belonging? Yes, please!

Tranzac Main Hall, Tickets & Info

Cam Wyllie’s Sketch Comedy Invitational

August 23, 7:00pm & 9:00pm

We’ve been waiting a whole year for another Cam Wyllie Sketch Comedy Invitational presented by Cam Wyllie. He’s the glue that binds sketch comedy together across North America, and honestly? We’d follow Cam Wyllie into battle. Or at least into a sketch show. With this double-show night, he brings us incredible sketch stylings from Sarah Bennett (Toronto, ON), Bicycle Jousting (St. John’s, NL), Big Ol’Mess (Denver, CO), Debit-Cash-Or-Credit (Toronto, ON), Sage Huston (Chicago, IL), and Cam Wyllie (Canada).

Factory Theatre Studio, Tickets & Info

Wednesday Night Live

August 27, 8:00pm

Who needs their sketch comedy live on a Saturday Night? Not us! There’s no better way to get through the week than with a laugh. Midweek blues? Not on our watch. We’re ending August with a laugh-loaded Wednesday. Your boss doesn’t need to know why you’re smiling Thursday morning.

Comedy Bar Bloor, Tickets & Info

Take a Summer Comedy Road Trip

Pack your snacks and playlists because this summer road trip is worth it. Head out to Prince Edward County on August 22 (Stirling Festival Theatre) & August 23 (The Regent Theatre, Picton) to see A Perfectly Reasonable Night of Comedy! Step out of the house for an unforgettable evening with Peter Oldring and Pat Kelly (CBC Radio’s This is That) as they reunite with Carolyn Taylor (Baroness von Sketch Show). These comedy powerhouses come together for the first time since their early days at The Second City to deliver a delightfully absurd and wildly entertaining variety show.
